Cooking Class: Gnocchi with Fresh Tomato Sauce & Chocolate Lindt Cake

Hello Everyone! For this upcoming class, we will be preparing one of everyone's favorite Homemade Gnocchi. I find that sometimes people are intimidated by making fresh gnocchi dough, but believe me, once you will try it you will be surprised by just how easy it is! Gnocchi is traditionally made by using a Gnocchi board, but they can also be shaped simply by using the back of a fork or another tool that I will be showing you. We will pair the gnocchi with a delicious walnut and arugula pesto. And to complete our class we will be making the most delicious Chocolate cake with a chocolate Lindt ganache that melts in your mouth. The beauty of this Lindt cake is that it looks like it just came out of a pastry shop but instead it is very easy to make. And guess what... it is also gluten-free. It can be decorated in many different ways and with your choice of fruit.

Packing List: Gnocchi with Fresh Tomato Sauce

  • 500g or a little over 1 lb of yellow potatoes boiled with skin.*
  • Flour (Regular or gluten-free). I recommend the “4Cups4” gluten-free flour brand.
  • 1 egg
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt & Pepper

 *Please boil potatoes in plenty of water with the skin before the class starts. They should be warm when we will use them for a better result.

  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh Basil
  • 2 small containers (8-16 each) of either Fresh Cherry Tomatoes, Campari Tomatoes or Grape Tomatoes

  Packing List: Chocolate Lindt Cake

  • 100 g or 4 oz of dark Lindt chocolate bar
  • Salted Butter
  • Sugar
  • Eggs
  • Gluten-Free Flour.  I suggest the Namaste organic brand
  • Baking Powder
  • 1 bottle of Oil or Butter spray
  • 200 g or 7 oz of fresh heavy or whipping cream
  • 100 g or 4 oz of Lindt milk chocolate bar
  • 100 g or 4 oz of Lindt chocolate truffles
  • Fruit or berries of your choice to decorate

Tools

  • Handmixer
  • Smash Potatoes
  • Small pot to melt butter and chocolate
  • Tart Pan
